Already at my first year at the Faculty of Industrial Design at the Delft University of Technology it was a clear fact to me that products should be designed for people and not for museums.

Now, more than 20 years later and much more experienced, I still believe in products for people. For me it is essential to go beyond stereotypes, and take the largest possible diversity of people into account. Through my participation in design networks I keep updated on designing for diversity and on developments in the design profession.

At P5 my main focus is on communication in the interdisciplinary design teams we participate in.

Because of my curiosity I like to understand and visualise people and products; who are the buyers, users and owners of products, how do they interact with products and in what context. This understanding and visualisation is an important aspect in the communication in the design teams.

Not only curiosity, also my love for film and video makes it easy to put a lot of energy in my work.

In my spare time you can find me rowing on the river Amstel, bicycling in the countryside and preparing meals for family and friends.
