Roel Kahmann

I am fascinated by the way people manipulate products and like to observe and research this. I am convinced that still too much products are developed without knowing what people really expect from the product.

I am a human factors specialist. I studied medicine at the Leiden University and specialised in biomechanics. Since 1997 I am registered by the CREE as an European Ergonomist.

My major focus at P5 is on the development of methods. Especially applying scientific methods, adapted from various research fields, within the constraints of the product development practice.
Besides working on projects I moderate on a regular basis tutorials and workshops.

I am member of several professional associations. At the moment I am board member (treasurer) of the professional association of Dutch European Ergonomists (Register Ergonomen Nederland; ReN).

Being a father, busy with school and sports of his children, I like to build small boats in my spare time and if the season is right you can find me somewhere on the water sailing or canoeing.
